I have been a first responder for the majority of my working career, and with the extreme change we find ourselves in living in the modern world, I have begun preparing for serious Political, Social, Climate, Fiscal and Global health crisis.
We saw just how serious the impact of COVID-19 was, and most western nations’ responses included fiscal stimulus and quantitative easing – printing more money than we have ever seen as humans into the global financial system causing huge inflation. Couple this with the global conflicts we are seeing in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and the impending energy crisis, and you start to see the reason we need to prepare for the future.
I want to prepare to protect my family, my house and my property, and to protect our future. I prepare because I want to be safe, and I want to build certainty into my contingency and response plans.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening (including hydroponics and aquaponics) as part of my food production backup systems, martial arts, reading and writing.
